"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

In St Anne’s Roman Catholic Primary School, the Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme is designed to foster the holistic development of each child in alignment with our faith values. Our intent is to cultivate a nurturing environment that enables pupils to:
- Develop self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience, guided by the principles of our Catholic faith.
- Build positive relationships based on empathy, respect, and understanding, both within the school community and beyond.
- Acquire essential life skills that empower them to make informed choices related to their health, safety, and well-being.
- Understand their role as responsible citizens in a diverse society, actively participating in their community while acknowledging the teachings of the Gospel.
- Engage with and reflect on their moral and spiritual growth, fostering a sense of purpose and belonging.
By integrating core British values and Catholic teachings, our PSHE curriculum aims to provide pupils with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for a fulfilling life. At St. Anne’s, we have chosen to use resources Life to the Full from Ten Ten, which are within Salford Diocese recommendations. We supplement these with sessions linked to weekly Picture News big Questions which teach and embed British Values, Catholic Social Teaching and the Protected Characteristics.
