PE
Our PE days are on Monday and Thursday.
Children need to wear a full PE Kit.
Homework
Each week, we expect every child to complete the following activities:
- Times Tables Rock Stars- children should complete two three-minute 'garage' sessions every day. This daily practice helps to reinforce their multiplication skills and improve their speed.
- Reading- children should be reading for at least 15 minutes, three times a week. Please remember to sign their reading record so that we can track their progress. They don't need to finish the entire book, just focus on engaging with the text and understanding it.
- Spellings- spelling lists will be sent home every Monday, with a spelling check scheduled for the following Monday. This gives your child a full week to practice and prepare.
Year Group Messages
As we approach the Multiplication Tables Check in June, we want to emphasise the importance of regular practice on Time Tables Rock Stars. This platform is an excellent tool for helping your child build speed and confidence with their multiplication tables, a key skill that will support their maths learning.
Consistent, daily use of TTRS helps reinforce these fundamental skills, making it easier for children to recall multiplication facts quickly. We encourage you to support your child in completing their daily sessions, as this regular practice will make a significant difference.
